for a discord server a newfound friend was making for a clique of "real marxists" in a koiboi youtuber minecraft server ultimately nobody got into because there were like 21,000 people trying to get into 99 free spots. the clique as you can imagine did not really transfer out into something more attainable or do anything productive, and died shortly after -

this was part of a concepting phase for a completely different minecraft-oriented clique called Aldernes, which was an independent "nation" within and broke off from Galesta, and at this point we wanted our own server. this is one of several concepts for a worldpainter world, where water flows out from the center and off the edge of the world. (the alternative was an icewall with a warm center) vertical double lines stand for ocean-falls, A-shaped triangles are mountains in various sizes, plus rivers and ponds. you wouldve started in the center which was an ice patch and work your way to the warmer edges. the edge delta in the east wouldve been rocky rapids cutting negative space into the fall water. none of this including the friend group itself panned out in the end -

for whatever reason i was doing more figure drawings and becoming more confident in the shapes. really did something magnificent here by adding like an orange sunset skin color. and an accidentally balanced handstand thing that i loved so much (the biggest trick was to keep the arm under the center of gravity, or at least what plausibly could be) but theres a lot of good movement around it too? kinda insanely peak. but i was also watching this youtube video on this couple reacting to bonesmashing tutorials so i drew some of that too, and added the screeshot because it was so surrealy funny. the naruto sandals, an accidentally good looking handpaw, practice with adding sutble cool minimalist stitching patterns on some like tapering work pants? so cool. and finally the stretchy guy from youtube that ABSOLUTELY BLEW MY MIND THAT STRETCHING IS BODYBUILDING, AND YOU CAN BE VERY VERY STRONG AND STAY THIN -

bravely asking the hardest questions: what if regn was a different skin color? here we have a grounded earthly "dull reddish more" color which could really shave down the comkplexity of drawing while still looking cool. also includes some light clothing and aesthetic under-bandages. there are several variants of these where im trying things out. by this point i wanted to truly get away from the bright oranges and explore more of a rusty red for fur and eyes -

(we should bring back sashes) as well as some really shiny large workboots, different nips, and thise interior of the chest marks btw arent meant to imply any boobage but im just now noticing i put two more lower on the belly to emulate some light fur. would some light boobage in your abdominal area look weird? genuinely might explore this later -

lightsaber concepts. i have a tonnnn of these but these are some of the only ones i have sorta painted. i like the green and pinkish stripes i put on the chrome to try and sell that its chrome. is it realistic? who cares -

this is one of those things that has no meaning. i really wanted to do a shot with a nice dusk banded sky and a moon. but also the cracks on the pavement are so good. maybe the reason im pretty good at details like these cracks is because its more of a painting technique than a drawiong one -

made this in conjunction with jack's birthday image because he lives in california. made some cactus in a flat desert thats colorbanded to get lighter towards the horizon, a trick ive been trying to repeat. i just thought fog would look cool even if its not realistic. theres a cactus wren in one of the cacti and i remember drawing that while cringing over saying peoples names are so cool when its just an animal name, like wolf. and i said this to someone named wren on accident, and knowing them they probably thought i was being sutble and i really wasnt i was just being dumb -

diagram of my plan for creating a standing desk. i was really interested in the idea for a while since i was literally spending all my time on the computer. however i dont have barely any money and i was going to put buckets on the table (not to scale) and put wooden boards on top of that and this would make a flat enough surface to draw on. i already bought like all the buckets we use in the house and i got my $10 of wood board for the rest but my MOM would actually be the one to kill this idea. -

i dont usually like drawings that are just a head. this one included. but the purpose behind this was an extremely private sketch of regn WITH EARRINGS???? AND EYELINER??? so to start off: the title. i was listening to covet basement as i was making this. a lot of color studies, anatomy studies, and just trying to draw what i feel like to understand the vibe i wanted to go with because in my mind it was a lways a jumbled mess. the star eyes one was this cringe adhd superpower where you get "psychic doublevision" by forcing yourself to focus on all your senses now at the expense of more downtime later. the sasuke wolftail continues to evolve in others, a bandana, bland chokers and pendants to compliment them, pinterest wing jacket i didnt go with because i knew everyone would know i got it from pinterest, snow leopard blob spot things to represent the transitionary p[hase from autumn to winter versions, round hat thing, and transgender bandages, but i was on the cusp of realizing this didnt have to be exclusively for mtf and i was reaching a greater androgynous (and much later; hermaphroditic) trvth -

by this point i was getting into the habit of using literally the entire canvas before i start a new one. these are some other sketches on a seperate layer. figuring out shape language with vague symbols instead of drawing it all out, very well decorated around the nect primitive fox regn? i was using regn as a stand in for any fox but i was interested in the heritage of an ethnicity of foxes too. the red plant thing is a deadly neurotoxin that grows in abundance on another planet, and its a concept for an ever evolving but seldom drawn science fiction -

a flag for a fictional creative minecraft nation building server called empiresmode. the nation i made was the West Windies, living on autumn sky islands from the terralith resource pack, converted into a venician style tight packed urban fabric. the original name for the country was the Windibexines (wind ibex) thus the fox ibex thing in the center. the bird is their god; Yyxon (named for richard nixon) and the triforce thing representing the 3 main islands that the country composed of. -

closing thoughts: 2024 was actually a really great year for my art and its because i really wanted to make myself make more. i figured if i just make it easier to start drawing with fewer limitations, such as having windows automatically start csp on boot or by using the same canvas as the last few drawings, then i would draw more. and i did! actually utilizing inspos from twitter also helped and kept things fresh, instead of just drawing what felt like the same set of details i was losing interest in
